Insurance terms
GoMore's rental insurance includes comprehensive insurance, liability insurance, and roadside assistance.
The insurance is taken out automatically when a rental vehicle is booked via GoMore, and the payment for the insurance is included in GoMore's insurance and service charge. The car owner and renter are required to comply with the conditions below to be covered by the insurance, and the insurance only covers the car during the rental period. The coverage below does not apply to business owned cars where you are covered by the owner's insurance. The insurance on business owned cars always includes liability and comprehensive insurance as a minimum as well as roadside assistance.
Coverage
- Full comprehensive insurance, including theft, liability, and roadside assistance.
- The car is defined as missing when the renter does not return the car no later than 28 days after the agreed date and time of delivery.
- The insurance is valid in Denmark and for driving in the EU, in addition to countries covered by the Green Card. If driving abroad, extra insurance is required, which is subject to an additional fee that must be paid when booking a rental car.
Requirements for the car
- The car must be privately owned and registered for private transportation of passengers or private freight transportation (vans). However, leasing cars leased via GoMore and its business partners are also covered by the insurance coverage.
- In case of privately leased cars, the Car Owner must be the lessee.
- In case of business leased cars, the Car Owner must be the company or this employee (user of the car) with the permission of the company.
- The car must not be used for commercial purposes such as freight transportation.
- The car must be able to drive with a regular driver's license (maximum weight of 3.500 kg.).
- The car must be fully covered by liability insurance in accordance with Danish legislation, and must be covered by a full comprehensive insurance in advance with a publicly registered (DMR) insurance company.
- The car's new value must not exceed DKK 2,000,000.
- Cars with a new value of more than DKK 1,000,000 must have an active insurance-approved GPS installed in the car. The GPS requirement is a prerequisite for coverage and is described in our insurance partner's full insurance conditions found at the bottom of this page.
- New value is defined as the retail price of the car including VAT and taxes at the first registration date of the car.
- The car's first registration date must not exceed 15 years from today's date, and the car must not have driven more than 250,000 km.
- The car's Vehicle Registration Certificate must not be in the car during any rental periods.
- When driving abroad, the following apply:
- The car must be registered on the type of Vehicle Registration Certificate, which has been used since 6 June 2012.
- Part 1, and only part 1, of the new Vehicle Registration Certificate must be in the car during rental periods where the car will drive abroad.
Requirements for renter
- The renter must have a valid driver's license in Denmark.
- The renter must be 21 years of age.
- For cars defined as premium by GoMore, the renter must be 25 years of age. If the new value of the car is between DKK 1,000,000 - 2,000,000, the renter must be 28 years of age.
- The renter must have held a driver's license for a minimum of 1 year.
- If the renter has a foreign driver's license, the renter must be able to document a valid passport.
- Please note, it is possible to add one extra driver for an additional fee. The same requirements are applicable for the extra driver as the primary renter of the car.
- Be aware: 25 kr. is added per rental day for renters under 23 years of age.
Excess
- The renter of the car has a DKK 7,500 excess per damage.
- The renter has the option to either reduce the excess per damage to DKK 2,500 or DKK 0 by purchasing excess insurance before the rental starts.
- Windscreen stone chip repairs are covered at no cost if they can be fixed with glue. A deductible will, however, be charged if the entire windscreen needs to be replaced.
Other conditions
- The rental period must not exceed 30 consecutive days.
- Be aware that the insurance does not cover mechanical damages, including improper refueling, and damages caused by driving with insufficient water and/or oil.
- A replacement car during periods of repair is not covered by the insurance. However, our insurance partner can recommend a workshop that among other things offers extended warranty on the repair and provides courtesy cars.
- The car owner must bring the vehicle to a mechanic and have the damages fixed immediately with reference to a mechanic provided by our insurance partner.
- Read our full conditions of insurance carefully before renting.
