Rules and responsibilities

To ensure a good experience for everyone, it is important that the owner and renter follow our rules for private car renting.

More information is detailed in GoMore's terms for peer-to-peer car rental

Checking the renter's information

The person who booked the car must pick up the car. An extra driver added to the booking cannot pick up the car without the renter being present. For the renter and extra driver (if applicable), the owner must check the identity, driver's license number, and that they are at least 21 years and have had a valid driver's license for at least 1 years.

Rental contract

The rental contract in our app must be completed at the start and finish of each rental. It is used for documenting the car's condition and pre-existing damages, fuel level, and kilometers driven.

Preparation of the car

The owner should always have a printed copy of the car information sheet in the car. This includes important information for the renter in case something happens during their rental. The car owner should also remember to remove the registration certificate.

Renter

If for any reason the renter is not considered fit to drive, does not meet the age or driver's license requirements, or is not the person picking up the car, the car owner should cancel the rental.

Smoking and animals

Smoking is not allowed in the car during the rental. Animals only allowed if agreed with owner.

Right of withdrawal

If you regret a rental, you must cancel the booking via rental overview on GoMore. The renter can cancel the booking up to 3 hours before the rental begins.

Pick-up

If the car is not as described on gomore.dk, the renter may cancel the lease.

Returning the car

The owner must check that the car is returned in the same condition as when picked up. If the car is damaged, it is the owner's responsibility to record the damages in the rental contract with the signature of both the renter and the owner.

Mileage and fuel

The cars kilometer and fuel counters should be recorded in the rental contract when the rental begins and when it ends. The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was picked up. If it isn't, extra costs will be automatically charged to the renter's payment card based on the information agreed to in the app rental contract.

Fuel type

Renter is responsible for refilling the car with correct fuel type.

Defects & damages

If a problem occurs with the car during rental, the renter must stop the car and contact roadside assistance or GoMore. If the car is damaged during the rental, the renter should note as much information as possible about how it occurred, since it will be needed for any insurance claims.

Fines

Parking fines, speeding fines, bridge tolls and the like that the car receives during the rental period must be paid by the renter.
