As a business owner renting out vehicles on GoMore, maintaining high standards of vehicle condition, cleanliness, and overall readiness is crucial. This ensures that each rental experience is safe, reliable, and enjoyable for renters. Here is a comprehensive guide on what GoMore expects from business-owned vehicles and their owners.
Maintenance and condition
Regular maintenance
- Vehicle standards: It is your responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is always in safe working condition and meets all legal requirements for periodic inspections, tire pressure, tread depth, and safety equipment. Before each rental, confirm that the vehicle is topped up with sufficient oil, coolant, water, and windshield washer fluid. The vehicle should also be presentable and match its description and photos on GoMore.
Pre-rental checks
- No warning lights: Ensure that there are no significant faults, such as red warning lights, that could affect the vehicle’s operation or safety. GoMore reserves the right to cancel a rental or reduce the rental price if a vehicle does not meet these standards. You will not be compensated for lost rental income in such cases.
Cleaning
We recommend that your vehicles are cleaned inside and out every 3-4 weeks, depending on the season and usage.
Before workshop/roadside assistance
Vehicle accessibility for Keyless cars
- Unlock via app: Before taking your GoMore Keyless vehicle to a workshop or calling for roadside assistance, make sure the vehicle is unlocked via the app. This deactivates the anti-theft immobiliser, allowing the vehicle to start.
Periodic inspections
Even if a vehicle has recently passed an inspection, faults and breakdowns can still occur that might not be the renter's fault. In cases of doubt regarding damage responsibility, the damage should be assessed at an independent workshop to determine whether the renter is liable.
Preparing your vehicle for winter
Winter readiness
- Ice scrapers and winter tires: Keep an ice scraper in your vehicle to help renters safely clear windows in freezing conditions. Consider equipping your vehicles with winter tires to enhance traction and reduce braking distance during colder months. This not only prevents potential accidents but can also lead to more bookings during the winter season. Ensure that tires have sufficient tread depth to handle icy roads safely.
Transfer and return process
Keyless rentals
- Digital contract: If you have GoMore Keyless installed in your car, renters fill out a digital contract which GoMore automatically accesses. You do not need to be present for the vehicle transfer or return.
Non-Keyless rentals
- Owner or co-host presence required: If you do not have GoMore Keyless installed, you or a co-host must be physically present to hand over the car to the renter and complete the digital rental contract in the app. You must also be present at the vehicle's return to ensure the car's condition is accurately documented with photos, fuel, and mileage recorded.
Availability
As an owner, you or a co-host should be available to respond to messages and calls from your renters throughout the rental period. In case of urgent technical issues with Keyless or other concerns, both you and the renter have access to GoMore's emergency hotline. Prompt responses in the messaging system are expected before, during, and after the rental. In breakdown or urgent situations where GoMore and the renter cannot contact the owner, GoMore may decide on repairs on behalf of the business owner if necessary.
Maintaining a good tone
- Positive experiences: Always maintain a good tone in communications with renters and GoMore. This facilitates case handling and ensures renters will choose your vehicles again. Contact GoMore for assistance with any disagreements or challenges.
By adhering to these guidelines, you can ensure that your business-owned vehicles are well-prepared and maintained, meeting GoMore's high standards for rental quality and safety. This commitment to excellence helps maintain a positive reputation and increases customer satisfaction on GoMore.
