Tolls or congestion charges

If you have received a toll or congestion charge in relation to a rental the renter may be liable and you can request reimbursement from the renter for the cost.

When a renter is liable for a toll or congestion charge

Renters are responsible for speeding tickets issued between the time they picked up the car and the time they returned it.

If you receive a toll or congestion charge

  1. Pay straight away
Renters aren’t responsible for avoidable late payment fees, plus we guarantee you’ll be reimbursed if the details are correct.
  2. Find the relevant rental
Navigate to Rentals, Completed, select the relevant booking and look for the New expense claim button at the top of the page. You can also find the relevant rental using your car’s Calendar on Your car(s).
  3. Submit an expense claim
Make sure you have a photo of the charge ready, then directly from the relevant booking, submit an expense claim. Read about how expense claims work here.
