If you have received a speeding ticket in relation to a rental the renter may be liable and you can request reimbursement from the renter for the cost.
When a renter is liable for a speeding ticket
Renters are responsible for speeding tickets issued between the time they picked up the car and the time they returned it.
If you receive a speeding ticket
In the following cases you need to contact GoMore Support directly, so they can collaborate with the local authorities to transfer the ticket to the renter’s name:
- Tickets containing points on the driver’s license.
- Tickets containing a criminal penalty.
- Tickets issued in a foreign currency.
- Requests to transfer ownership of a ticket.
For all other cases follow these steps:
- Pay straight away
This helps to avoid late payment fees, which renters are not liable for. Rest assured, you will be reimbursed if your claim is valid.
- Find the relevant rental
Navigate to Rentals, Completed, select the relevant booking and look for the New expense claim button at the top of the page. You can also find the relevant rental using your car’s Calendar on Your car(s).
- Submit an expense claim
Make sure you have a photo of your ticket ready, then directly from the relevant booking, submit an expense claim. Read about how expense claims work here.
