Offering delivery

You can earn more money by delivering your car to popular locations like airports, train stations or ferry terminals. Simply deliver your car to the renter’s chosen location, then transport yourself back home.

How to offer delivery

  • Navigate to Your car(s), Parking and delivery. Here you can see your home location, and any locations that you are already offering delivery to.
  • Select Add a delivery location and you can choose from supported airports, train stations and ferry terminals within a 50 km radius of your car’s home address. Or you can choose to deliver anywhere within a custom area.

Choosing a delivery price

Keep your price as low as possible

Lower delivery prices rank higher in search results.

Things you can factor into your delivery price

  • Fuel costs for driving your car to and from the location.
  • Transporting yourself back home after delivering your car, and back to the delivery location at the end of the rental.
  • Associated tolls or congestion charges.
  • Parking costs for the delivery location.

Don’t claim separately for the above expenses. They need to be incorporated into the initial price of delivery.

Consider free delivery for longer rentals

Offering free delivery for rentals over a certain length is a great way get more bookings. Simply head to the Free delivery section on a delivery location page and choose how long a rental needs to be before delivery is free.

Fees

GoMore takes a 10% service fee from your delivery earnings.

What to do when you get a delivery booking

1. Communicate with the renter

Message the renter to finalise exactly where your car will be delivered and how they can pick it up and return it. Clear communication throughout the rental will help to avoid any mistakes.

For airport deliveries it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the renter’s flight status incase of delays.

2. Deliver your car

  • With Keyless
    Set-off in good time and deliver your car to the agreed-upon location. If your car is Keyless, you’ll leave the keys in the glovebox and lock your car with the app. Make sure your car is parked somewhere it can be for some time, incase the renter is running late.
  • Without Keyless
    Set-off in good time and deliver your car to the agreed-upon location. Let the renter know where you are and meet them to guide the through pick-up using the app.

3. Go home

Or to the zoo or the park. You are responsible for transporting yourself, and should not ask the renter to do so.

4. Pick up your car

  • With Keyless 
 Coordinate with the renter to let them know where your car should be returned. You will be able to see once the renter has returned your car on the app. You can then transport yourself to your car’s location and pick it up.
  • Without Keyless
 Coordinate with the renter to make sure they are on time and know exactly where to return your car. Transport yourself there and complete the return contract in the app.

Delivery with Instant booking

Delivery can only be Instant booked with at least 24 hours’ notice. If a renter tries to book your car with less notice you will receive a booking request.

Delivery with Booking request

Your acceptance rate will not be affected if you decline a request with delivery.

Back-to-back bookings with delivery

We will automatically prevent renters from booking your car 2 hours before and after a delivery booking, in order to give you time to deliver your car and collect it.

Insurance

Private cars are only covered by our insurance during the rental period. Outside of that your car must be covered by your own private insurance.
