Bakkegårdens Vejbod

By Mie · September 09, 2026

In Syddjurs, you will find Bakkegårdens Vejbod, a charming self-service roadside stand run by two sisters with a passion for homegrown vegetables and local produce. The cosy stand is built from recycled materials and filled with the season’s fresh harvest, so there’s always something new to take home.

Charming self service roadside stand

During summer, the stand is bursting with crisp vegetables, fresh eggs and seedlings for the kitchen garden, while autumn brings pumpkins and other seasonal favourites. Most of the produce is grown just a few metres from the stand in the sisters large, idyllic kitchen garden, where the vegetables are allowed to grow at their own pace.

Locally grown produce

If you are visiting Djursland, Bakkegårdens Vejbod is a perfect stop if you want to fill your shopping bag with fresh, locally grown produce and experience the charm of a small roadside stand where the love of nature and good craftsmanship is evident in every single vegetable.
