At GoMore, we help people share cars. Our platform connects people around peer-to-peer car-sharing, fostering a lifestyle that transcends traditional car ownership, and makes living without a car more convenient. When we share cars, fewer people need to own one, which in return will reduce the number of vehicles cluttering up our cities.
Today, 4 billion people - more than half of the world population - live in urban areas. By 2050, an additional 2.5 billion people will follow suit and 2 out of every 3 people will live in urban centers.(1) Adding mobility needs on top of this leaves less and less space for human quality of life. On average, in the EU there is one car for every two people(2) and as one car can take up 150m2 of urban space(3), vehicles in urban settings are a dominant space, pollution and congestion factor.
Research shows that one shared car can take up to nine private cars off the road(4), making car sharing an essential part of future urban planning. In support of this, more than half of the renters on our platform state that owning a car has become less appealing since joining a car sharing platform like GoMore(5), emphasizing a shift toward more sustainable mobility choices.
Imagine our cities with less traffic and more space to be, unfold, and connect with each other. That’s what we’re working towards with every car shared on GoMore. We are changing the game. On average, privately owned cars are used for only 1 hour per day.(6) However, GoMore’s most active cars are each shared between 11 households a month(7), increasing the utilization of existing cars significantly while also contributing to lower congestion in urban communities.

At the heart of our efforts lies our community. A community that is based on the belief that sharing is caring. Our member's commitment to sharing extends beyond vehicles, as evidenced by their use of platforms like Airbnb for home rentals, Tier and Donkey Republic for micro-mobility, and TooGoodToGo and Hygglo for other sharing services.(8) Half of our car owners state that they have become more prone to sharing additional things on top of their cars after joining GoMore and 65% of our renters are interested in sharing more too.(9)
In addition to economic reasons, more than half of our renters and two-thirds of our car owners have chosen GoMore specifically for environmental, social, and congestion relief reasons.(10) Their decisions are not just reshaping their own lives but are actively crafting more sustainable and enjoyable urban environments for everyone. This behavioral pattern underscores our community’s commitment to putting words into action and changing the way we behave and consume.
Joining GoMore means embracing a lifestyle fit for today and ready for tomorrow. It’s about saying yes to a life that is not tied down by car payments or endless searches for parking spots.
Catalyzed by our mission to help people share cars, we contribute to a world where mobility is smart and seamless across various mobility options. After joining GoMore, 6 out of 10 renters say they use public transportation every day.(11)
We are proud to be part of driving a mindset that opens up new perspectives on mobility and leads to action that supports more sustainable ways to consume and commute. For us, sharing is a powerful way to make a positive, collective impact on our shared planet and future.
