How does service work?

Private leasing > How does service work?

What is included in the service and maintenance agreement?

The service and maintenance agreement is an agreement that if you, as the lessee, comply with the car's service inspection, GoMore's leasing partner covers repairs that may occur as a result of normal use and wear. The service and maintenance agreement covers service and maintenance of the car in accordance with the factory's prescribed service inspection in the car's physical or digital service booklet.

If the factory warranty on the car has expired during the leasing period, necessary repairs that would otherwise be covered by the factory warranty will be performed at GoMore's leasing partner's expense.

How do I know when the car needs to go for a service inspection?

The service intervals are always registered digitally or stated in the physical service booklet in the car. If there is no physical service booklet in the car, you must contact an authorized brand workshop and get your car's service interval via the registration number. Most cars indicate in the dashboard when it needs to go for service. However, not all cars indicate it so it is always your responsibility as a lessee to examine the car's service interval and have the service inspected in a timely manner. If in doubt, we recommend contacting an authorized brand workshop, as they will be able to provide the service intervals for your car.

It varies from model to model when a car needs service. It will either be at a certain mileage or a certain date, and it will always be the one of the two that comes first that decides when the car needs to be serviced.

What do I do when my car needs service?

All service inspections are included in the price throughout the leasing period. When your car needs service, you simply book an appointment with an authorized brand workshop near you. We recommend that you choose the workshop where you picked up the car. Simply inform the workshop that the car is leased through GoMore and our partner. The workshop must send the invoice to our partner (e.g. Ayvens or Drivalia). If you do not remember the name of our partner, the workshop can scan the number plate and see where the invoice should be sent.

What is the difference between inspection and service?

A vehicle inspection is the check the car has to have at an inspection station after about 4 years of its life. This is only relevant when you lease a used car or if you extend your contract beyond the first 3 years. You will be summoned to this by the Danish Road Traffic Authority about 8 weeks before the deadline for the inspection to be carried out. The inspection is covered by the partner of the leased car, but must be carried out at specific locations. You are welcome to contact us at leasing@gomore.com with your car's registration number if you are unsure which inspection center to use.
